Liverpool mulling over Swansea's Moreno offer
Swansea City have reportedly lodged a formal approach to sign out-of-favour Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno.
The former Sevilla man made just two league starts last season as Jurgen Klopp preferred James Milner to occupy an unfamiliar position on the left side of the defence.
Earlier this week, Napoli had an £11m bid knocked back for the full-back, and according to Football Whispers, the Swans have offered a higher sum of around £13m for his signature.
Moreno was pursued from Seville for a £12.5m fee back in 2014, but Klopp is nevertheless looking for at least £15m in order to find a suitable replacement.
Despite his limited involvement over the past 18 months, Moreno remains a player on demand after having racked 109 outings during his stay at Merseyside.
Liverpool are currently eyeing a deal for Napoli's Faouzi Ghoulam, and they could yet offer Moreno in a player-plus-cash deal for the Algeria international.
The club will have the additional pressure of participating in the Champions League next season, and Klopp is keen to add quality recruits in order to avoid an early European exit.
