Everton to sign Croatian youth starlet
Everton are on the cusp of agreeing a deal to sign 19-year-old midfielder Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split. The youngster impressed the Toffees during a Euroa League game.
Vlasic caught the eye of Everton's director of football Steve Walsh and manager Ronald Koeman and the Toffees have now had a bid of £12.5 million accepted for the midfielder.
The versatile youngster is capable playing in attack or in the middle of the park and is one of Croatia's brightest young players. Everton have realised a major coup in pulling off a deal for Nikola Vlasic.
Hadjuk Split executive Ivan Kos confirmed that a deal for Vlasic is close to being completed: "The transfer window runs until August 31, sometimes transfers happen a minute before midnight. We don't want to lose one per cent of our quality. We also have to think about financial stability."
Everton have been one of the Premier League's busiest clubs in the transfer window, having signed the likes of Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
