Marouane Fellaini suffers knee injury with Belgium

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has sustained a knee injury during Belgium's 4-3 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday, Sky Sports News claims.

The 29-year-old looked in relative discomfort prior to his substitution, and he appeared to indicate a problem in his left knee before being replaced by Leander Dendoncker in the 28th minute.

Fellaini was taken off when the score was 1-0 in Belgium's advantage, but they went into the break trailing 2-1, courtesy of goals from Haris Medunjanin and Edin Visca for Bosnia.

Eventually, Belgium came from behind to secure a 4-3 comeback win, and this has shattered Bosnia's hopes of reaching another World Cup final.

Fellaini has transformed into a key first-team player for Manchester United this term, and Jose Mourinho will be hoping for a positive injury update ahead of the club's tough trip to Liverpool next weekend.

The Belgian footballer has already contributed four goals for Manchester United this term, and talks are underway over a fresh contract beyond next summer.
