Brazilian forward set for Arsenal January transfer window move?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will make a 30 million euro bid for Bordeaux's Brazilian winger Malcom in the January transfer window in a deal that will pave the way for Alexis Sanchez to leave the Emirates Stadium. Malcom, 20, has scored 5 goals so far this season in Ligue 1.

The versatile forward, who can play on either side of the attack or up front, joined Bordeaux in 2016 from Brazilian side Corinthians and has impressed since making the move to France. Malcom has appeared for Brazil's under-20 and under-23 sides and impressive performances across the board have caught the eye of Arsenal's scouts and manager Arsene Wenger.

The news, exclusive to eyefootball.com, indicates that Arsenal are planning a major rebuild of their squad during the January transfer window after a sub-par start to the campaign by the Gunners' out of contract forward Sanchez. The Chilean international's move to Man City fell through on transfer deadline in the summer and Arsene Wenger is concerned that the player is not giving 100 percent since the deal collapsed.

Malcom represents an interesting alternative for Sanchez and has time on his side at only 20-years-old. The Bordeaux player is expected to make the step up to Brazil's national team in a matter of months.

Numerous teams have been linked with a transfer for Malcom, including Premier League duo Chelsea and Man Utd, but it is reportedly Arsenal who will win the race for the Sao Paulo born attacker.
