David Moyes lined up as Ronald Koeman replacement?
Everton are reportedly considering replacing manager Ronald Koeman with ex-boss David Moyes. The 54-year-old has had unsuccessful spells with Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland since leaving the Toffees in 2013.
According to The Sun, the Toffees' owners have identified Moyes as a candidate to replace Koeman, who has struggled to live up to his expectations this term.
The Merseyside outfit spent over £140m to push for a potential top-four spot but they instead find themselves in the relegation places in 18th - following a 5-2 thumping at the hands of Arsenal on Sunday.
Moyes spent 11 successful years on Merseyside, and it is suggested that he would seriously consider a comeback due to his close friendship with chairman Bill Kenwright.
Koeman's future is likely to come under discussion following their recent mauling versus Arsenal, and it will be interesting to see whether he will remain in-charge when Everton face off against Chelsea in the midweek League Cup game.
