Chelsea to reward Eden Hazard with bumper deal?

Hazard in line for contract extension

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly prepared to offer a significant payrise for Eden Hazard in order to prolong his stay beyond the summer of 2020.

The Belgium international has been a key figure for the Blues over the years, and the Blues are now keen on committing him to a new long-term contract.

According to Evening Standard, talks are already underway between the player's representatives and the club, and Abramovich is willing to break the club's wage structure with a bumper £300,000-a-week deal for Hazard.

The proposed extension includes a 50 percent increase on his current wages at Stamford Bridge, and this would presumably fend off interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in Hazard, but according to reports, they have cooled their pursuit amid the Belgian's average form in recent months.

Hazard has contributed 15 goals and a further six assists for Chelsea in all competitions this term. He has previously cited that he would only consider leaving the Blues on his own terms.
