Mourinho confirms changes for Bournemouth, Spurs games

Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho has confirmed that some of the players who featured against West Bromwich Albion could be axed for the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.

The Red Devils underperformed in front of their supporters last weekend as they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to the Baggies in the Premier League.

Since then, there has been plenty of criticism towards the likes of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez, in particular, and Mourinho has hinted that a few players may be dropped for the Cup semi-final against Tottenham.

Prior to the Spurs clash, United have a midweek league trip to Bournemouth, and Mourinho confirmed that the game may witness an opportunity for a couple of the bench players.

"If I play someone against Bournemouth and he is phenomenal, he plays the semi-final. The word is not rotation," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"This is an opportunity for some people to play and to try to get a place in the team. Some of the guys who played [against West Brom], they don't have a place in that team."

The likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have been starved off regular gametime over the past few months, and the pair could feature at the Vitality Stadium.

Martial's future, in particular, has come under question over the past weeks and the Frenchman has plenty to prove after a poor substitute performance against the Baggies.
