Tottenham Hotspur to nab Manchester United goalkeeper?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting an approach to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone during the summer. The 25-year-old's contract is due to expire at the end of the season, though the Red Devils have the option of a 12-month extension clause.
According to The Sun, the north London side are keen on pursuing a new deputy to Hugo Lloris with Michel Vorm likely to leave the club in search of regular first-team football.
Johnstone has yet to make his competitive debut in the Premier League but he has earned plenty of plaudits during the ongoing campaign where he has kept 19 clean sheets for Aston Villa on loan.
Steve Bruce's side are also said to be eager to commit Johnstone to a permanent deal but that could be depend on whether they can earn promotion from the Championship.
Tottenham are currently occupying the final Champions League spot in fourth with 68 points whilst United are two places ahead of them with six points more.
