Arsenal boss offers surprise injury boost for Manchester United game

Mkhitaryan in contention for United game

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is back in contention for tomorrow's Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The Armenia international damaged his medial knee ligaments during a Europa League game against CSKA Moscow this month and initial reports suggested that the attacker could be ruled out for the remainder of the season.

However, he has since made a quick recovery from the injury and Wenger has now confirmed that the 29-year-old could feature against ex-club United this weekend.

"We have no new problems. Mkhitaryan is available. Elneny is out, Cazorla too of course. Everyone else is OK," he said in the lead-up to the Red Devils game.

Wenger is expected to make at least a couple of changes with a view to the Europa League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid and Mkhitaryan could be one of those who may feature, though he may not last the entire 90 minutes owing to his fitness.
