Firmino pens new Liverpool contract
Roberto Firmino has signed a new contract with Liverpool. The Brazilian striker has been influential as the club head towards the Champions League final should they defeat Roma in the second-leg of their semi-final.
Roberto Firmino has been directly involved in 42 goals for Liverpool this season (27 goals, 15 assists) and has struck up a solid partnership with Mohamed Salah leading Liverpool's attack.
Liverpool have rewarded the former Hoffenheim striker with a long term contract.
Upon signing the deal, Firmino told the media: “I love to play for Liverpool FC. The fans are excellent and fantastic in how they support us all the way.”
Firmino will sign a deal worth £180,000 per week with the Anfield club and has put pen to paper on a stunning five year deal.
The brand new contract is sure to guarantee that Firmino will spend his best years with Jurgen Klopp's side and is likely to ensure that rumoured interest from Bayern Munich will now be put to bed.
