Riyad Mahrez leaning towards Arsenal transfer?
Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has reportedly set his sights on joining Arsenal after failing to make a big-money move in each of the previous two transfer windows.
The Algeria international had most recently submitted a transfer request in January after Manchester City had expressed an interest in his signature.
However, the 27-year-old was eventually left frustrated after Pep Guardiola's side could not reach an agreement with the Foxes before the winter transfer deadline.
According to The Express, the Premier League holders remain keen on pursuing Mahrez but the former La Havre graduate could prefer a switch to the Gunners instead.
The north London club will be without a permanent head coach following Arsene Wenger's exit this month but they have previously expressed their desire to pursue the forward.
Mahrez, who is contracted to the Foxes until June 2020, has contributed 10 goals and eight assists in the Premier League during the ongoing campaign. As of now, he has no ambition of signing a contract extension with the club.
