Yaya Toure eyeing Premier League stay
Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure is reportedly keen on remaining in the Premier League once his contract with Manchester City expires in the summer.
The 34-year-old has largely been a bit-part player during the title-winning season for the Citizens with Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan among those preferred ahead of him in the pecking order.
As such, the veteran has been urged to pursue a fresh challenge during the summer and his representative Dimitri Seluk believes the midfielder can prolong his top-flight stay, as per Sky Sports.
The agent added that Toure would be willing to return half of his wages or have his contract terminated without compensation, should he fail to produce consistent performances.
Everton have been identified as the early favourites to pursue the veteran midfielder whilst Burnley and recently-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers could also offer competition, as per The Mail.
Toure has made more than 300 appearances for Manchester City over the course of his career and during this period, he has helped them to three Premier League crowns, one FA Cup and two League Cups.
