Stephan Lichtsteiner drops key transfer update amid Arsenal link
Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner has insisted that he has yet to finalise a potential Bosman move to Arsenal.
The 34-year-old is expected to become a free agent when his contract with the Bianconeri expires next month and recent reports suggested that he has agreed to join the Gunners on a one-year deal.
However, speaking to reporters, Lichtsteiner has insisted that he has yet to come to terms with the north London outfit and anything can happen in the transfer window.
"Nothing is finished yet. I cannot comment on the negotiations. As long as nothing is completed, that is always interesting in football. I think we all know that," he said.
Lichtsteiner is expected to captain the Swiss at this summer's World Cup finals in Russia and during the tournament, he could earn his 100th cap for his nation.
Arsenal are well covered in the right-back spot with Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers and Ainsley Maitland-Niles capable of featuring in the position but new boss Unai Emery is aiming to bring more leadership within the defensive ranks by recruiting Lichtsteiner.
