Jonny Evans on verge of West Brom exit?
Leicester City are said to have reached an agreement to sign Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion in the current transfer window. Arsenal and Manchester City have been linked with the experienced centre-back in the past.
The Northern Irishman has a £3m relegation release clause on his existing deal but the Foxes are now understood to have agreed on a £3.5m package which will be paid in two installments, BBC reports.
Evans has been an influential figure for the Baggies barring the previous season where the entire team struggled and he will now be aiming to impress with his new Premier League outfit.
Leicester City have already brought in a new right-back in the form of Ricardo Pereira from FC Porto and Evans will now strengthen their backline further whilst replacing the outgoing Robert Huth.
Despite this, the club are likely to witness the exit of a key talisman in Riyad Mahrez, who is seemingly close to sealing his big-money move to Manchester City.
