Rugani close to Chelsea switch?

FA Cup holders Chelsea are understood to reached an agreement with Juventus to pursue the signature of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

The 23-year-old has been a permanent feature in the Bianconeri first-team over the past three seasons but he has yet to establish himself as a regular.

As a result, the Bianconeri are said to be open to the defender's sale this summer and according to Sport Italia, they have accepted a £31m bid from the west London giants.

Nonetheless, the Blues are yet to finalise personal terms with the player's representatives with the club still awaiting the appointment of a new head coach.

Ex-Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has been tipped to replace Antonio Conte as the next Chelsea manager and reports suggest that an announcement regarding the same could be made in the next few days.

Conte has yet to settle a severance package with the Premier League giants but it is claimed that the club may have to part with a sum of at least £9m for the 48-year-old.
