Sweden star hints at big-club move this summer
Sweden international Emil Forsberg has confirmed that he could pursue a fresh challenge away from RB Leipzig during this summer's transfer window.
Forsberg has been linked with a big-club move away from Leipzig since the summer of 2016 and the midfielder has now said that he is prepared to jump to the next level.
He told Fotbollskanalen: "I'm ready for the next big step. That's going to be very interesting. I am in dialogue with RB and always had a good relationship with the club. I have the dream of playing for the strongest clubs in the world."
The Swede had a strong debut season in the Bundesliga with Leipzig between 2016 and 2017 where he notched 19 assists but he struggled to replicate the feat in his second campaign (two assists) with fitness and form concerns.
Regardless of this, his stock remains high with Leipzig and it will be interesting to see whether any of his suitors would be willing the £40m price tag on his head. Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool have previously been associated with the 26-year-old playmaker.
