Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has confirmed that the club are certain to make more signings during the ongoing transfer window.

The north London side have already announced deals for Bernd Leno and Stephan Lichtsteiner from Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus respectively and Gazidis has confirmed the club's plans for additional recruits.

Speaking at a fan event at the Emirates Stadium, Gazidis said that the likes of Sven Mislintat and Huss Fahmy are working closely to resolve player contracts as well as bringing in more players.

He added that manager new boss Unai Emery is also involved in the decision-making as the club seek to rebuild after a disappointing 2017/18 campaign.

"Unai has been in the thick of that process in terms of what we need in the squad, we've signed two new players so far this summer and there will be more to come," he said.

Arsenal are expected to begin pre-season training as early as next week and their first friendly game is scheduled versus Atletico Madrid at the Singapore National Stadium on July 26.
