Cristiano Ronaldo makes contact with Juventus boss

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly edging closer to a move to Juventus after making contact with head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The former Manchester United star has been heavily tipped to join the Bianconeri this summer after he highlighted his ambition to pursue a new challenge.

According to Cadena COPE, Juve boss Allegri is said to have held talks on a personal scale with the Portugal international in order to convince him to head to Turin.

It is added that talks are still ongoing between both sides but a deal of around £88m is likely to be finalised with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez being fancied to sanction the move.

Nevertheless, Los Blancos want Ronaldo to make a formal statement prior to his departure to confirm that he is not being forced to part ways with the European champions.

Former side United are understood to have recently enquired over Ronaldo's availability but their approach has unfortunately come late for Los Blancos to consider.
