Manchester United could sign AC Milan defender for just £30m
Manchester United are reportedly looking into a summer move for AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci amid the financial concerns surrounding the Rossoneri.
According to The Express, the San Siro giants need to recoup at least £45m before the end of the transfer window in order meet the Financial Fair Play requirements.
With this in mind, a number of first-team players have been associated with possible exits but the Rossoneri are weighing up the future of Bonucci, who carries the highest wage bill among the lot.
United boss Jose Mourinho is supposedly keen on bolstering the central defence with an experienced head before the deadline and it is suggested that the club could lodge a bid worth £30m to lure Bonucci to Old Trafford.
Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld has been highlighted as the prime option for United over the past few months but a deal appears unlikely unless Spurs come down from their hefty £75m asking price.
