Manchester United prepare bid for Croatian winger
Manchester United are preparing a £44m bid for Croatian winger Ante Rebic, according to Mirror Football.
The Eintracht Frankfurt attacker has been linked with a move to United along with compatriot Ivan Perisic.
This move is coming after his Croatian side lost to France in the final of the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia. Rebic was one of Croatia's main players as they qualified from their group with nine points and played three consecutive extra-times on their way to the final.
Jose Mourinho reportedly wants the 24-year-old to bolster his attack line from the side, an area where United are lacking. With French winger Anthony Martial reportedly wanting out of the club, Rebic could be what Mourinho is looking for to move on from the former Monaco man.
United have travelled to the US for their pre-season tour, and Martial has gone with the team. From reports on social media, he has looked happy so far, but it remains to be seen if that happiness will be taken to another team.
