Chelsea to sell Olivier Giroud, Alvaro Morata?

Sarri to offload Morata, Giroud for Higuain?

New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri could reportedly sanction the exits of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata in order to fund the transfer of former player Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.

The Italian took over the reigns at Stamford Bridge earlier on Saturday and the club have since acquired Jorginho from Napoli as their first signing of the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, the focus may now turn to strengthening the striking department for next season and both Morata and Giroud could be sacrificed to witness the arrival of Higuain.

Giroud is deemed disposable despite only arriving from Arsenal six months earlier whilst Morata, who arrived from Real Madrid last summer, could be offered in a part-exchange deal for Higuain.

Higuain has netted 55 goals during his two seasons with the Serie A champions but his future remains uncertain beyond the summer with Cristiano Ronaldo expected to take up his centre-forward position next term.
