Chelsea close to second summer signing?

Chelsea are edging closer to their second signing of the transfer window with Aleksandr Golovin said to have agreed terms over a summer move.

The Russia international has been strongly linked with the Blues over the past month where he was influential in his country's progress to the World Cup quarter-final.

According to Calciomercato, Golovin is understood to have already snubbed contract offers from Juventus and Monaco and the Blues are now favourites to acquire his signature.

CSKA were initially demanding a fee of around £17m prior to the summer World Cup but the player's valuation has since been upped to £22m after standing out for his nation.

Chelsea have signed just one player in Jorginho from Napoli this summer but Maurizio Sarri is eyeing at least three more signings before the transfer deadline.

Aside from Golovin, the club have been linked with a move for Juventus' Gonzalo Higuain with his representative trying to push through a £44m move this month.
