Manchester United receive Bonucci transfer boost
AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci has handed in a transfer request to leave the Serie A side, according to Mirror Football.
United are reportedly interested in signing the central defender and this is seen as a boost for United's chances to sign the Italian.
AC Milan have made it clear that they are not willing to sell, but they could be forced to sell now that the player reportedly wants out of the club.
Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in signing the Italian international with Sarri looking to capitalise on his Italian links with the defender to get him.
Bonucci could favour a move to Old Trafford or the Etihad stadium as both Manchester clubs will be playing in the UEFA Champions League while Chelsea will be playing in the Europa League.
Mourinho is looking to strengthen his defence ahead of the new season and has already started the process with the return of Daley Blind to former club Ajax.
