Chelsea plot swoop for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper
Chelsea are reportedly plotting an approach for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola with Thibaut Courtois leaning towards a Stamford Bridge exit.
Courtois has been heavily tipped for a move to Real Madrid since the close of the World Cup and reports have recently suggested that a deal worth £31m has been finalised between the sides for the proposed transfer.
As such, the Blues have been associated with a number of shot-stoppers including former number one Petr Cech and Paris United claims that Areola is the latest keeper on their radar.
The 25-year-old was Les Parisiens' first-choice goalkeeper over the course of the 2017/18 campaign but his future has been put into doubt following the arrival of Gianluigi Buffon at Parc des Princes.
Meanwhile, the Blues have also been linked with a move for AC Milan teenage keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma whose position at San Siro remains uncertain amid the club's financial crisis.
