Chelsea striker on Atletico Madrid's radar?
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has reportedly been identified as a possible target for Atletico Madrid before next month's transfer deadline.
The 31-year-old joined the Blues from Arsenal during the winter transfer window and he made a good impression for the club as they went on to win the FA Cup.
Despite this, the Frenchman does not appear a favourite under new boss Maurizio Sarri and Gianluca di Marzio claims that Atleti have made a loan-to-buy enquiry for the France international.
The Spanish giants have already shown their spending might this summer after breaking their transfer record to sign Thomas Lemar and they are now looking into a move for a new marksman before the deadline.
AC Milan's Nikola Kalinic was initially the number one option on their shortlist but their interest appears to have swayed amid Milan's delay in making a decision.
Both Giroud and Alvaro Morata have recently been linked with probable exits with Sarri eyeing up a reunion with Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer.
