Fulham pushing through striker deal from Newcastle United
Fulham are reportedly making their strides towards re-signing Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic from Newcastle United during the ongoing transfer window.
The Premier League newcomers are said to have already agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old, who spent the second half of last season (on loan) with them contributing 12 goals en route to their playoff triumph.
According to Evening Standard, the Magpies' £20m asking price has put a stall on proceedings in recent weeks but the Cottagers are expecting to find an outcome in the near future.
Magpies boss Rafael Benitez has already deemed Mitrovic as surplus to requirements at the club and they are facing the compulsion of sanctioning his sale first before making a possible for Salomon Rondon from West Bromwich Albion.
Fulham have already made a number of notable signings in the transfer window with the most-recent being the arrival of Ander Schurrle on a two-season-long loan from Borussia Dortmund.
