Manchester United reluctant to sell Anthony Martial
Manchester United are reportedly reluctant to offload Anthony Martial to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, given they are one of their main competitors for the Premier League title next term.
United have expressed a keen interest in signing Toby Alderweireld from Spurs this summer but so far, they have not found a breakthrough with their rivals said to demand at least £55m for the Belgian.
As a result, there has been the talk of Anthony Martial being offered in an exchange deal for Alderweireld, though United are not open to the prospect of this happening, The Manchester Evening News reports.
Martial has been deemed to be leaning towards an exit ahead of next month's transfer deadline but Jose Mourinho is keen to avoid losing the Frenchman to a direct league rival.
Meanwhile, United's pursuit of a new centre-back has also seen them linked with a move for Harry Maguire but so far, they have not managed to find a breakthrough for him either with Leicester City not keen on his departure.
