Claude Puel: We can keep Maguire
Leicester City boss Claude Puel has said that the 2016 Premier League champions can keep defender Harry Maguire despite the ongoing interest from Manchester United.
United are very much interested in signing a central defender and have reportedly had a £65m offer for the England international rejected. He also added goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel into the bracket of players they can keep ahead of the new season.
"I think we can keep both players," he said, reports Mirror Football. "Kasper and Maguire are so valuable for us. It is important to maintain our structure, our squad and all our valuable players for the team."
With the transfer window in England coming to an end on the 9th of August, United are running out of time to complete a deal for Maguire and may now be looking elsewhere with reports indicating that the Old Trafford side are considering a £35m bid for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.
Maguire is currently on vacation after his World Cup exertions.
