Bayern not on Martial radar - Rummenigge

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dismissed claims that the club may seek to sign Anthony Martial in the ongoing transfer window.

The France international international has regularly been linked with an exit from Manchester United and a recent report from Bild suggested that he could join Bayern in a possible swap involving Jerome Boateng.

However, speaking to the same publication, Rummenigge has denied the ongoing speculation by stressing that the club have sufficient attacking options in hand, he said:

"We have four wingers: Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. And Alphonso Davies will also join in January. You must not overdo it, like some clubs do, or you create a problem for the coach."

Martial enjoyed a productive season last term with 11 goals and nine assists for United across all competitions. Despite this, his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho deteriorated during the second half of the season where he was often left on the bench for Alexis Sanchez.
