Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang speaks on Arsenal's title prospects
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that the club are likely to face a difficult challenge of competing for the Premier League this term.
Earlier in the summer, the north London club witnessed a drastic change with Unai Emery taking over the reigns from long-standing head coach Arsene Wenger and the Spaniard has since made five signings to reinforce the squad.
Despite this, the Capital outfit produced a rather underwhelming performance during the opening day defeat at the hands of Manchester City and Aubameyang has now admitted that the title tilt remains 'complicated'.
He told ESPN: "Collectively, we want to play every competition to the maximum. We can't hide. It would be great to end the season with one or more trophies. The league is obviously the priority because it has been a while since Arsenal won it. It will be complicated, though, and we know that."
Aubameyang received limited supply during the 2-0 defeat to the reigning champions last weekend but the team showed plenty of improvement after Alexandre Lacazette was brought on in the second period.
Taking this into regard, Emery may decide to start both Lacazette and Aubameyang for this weekend's London derby against Chelsea with the latter probably slotting into the left wing position.
