Jose Mourinho explains Alexis Sanchez's absence vs Brighton

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez had sustained a minor injury which kept him out of the Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Chile international was not included in the travelling squad for the trip to the south Coast and speaking to reporters, Mourinho indicated that the Chilean suffered a little problem which sidelined him from the meeting.
"Alexis was going to play but he had a little problem, so we had to decide to give an opportunity to another attacking player," he is quoted as saying by Metro.
Mourinho was thereafter asked about the timescale over the injury, to which he replied: "I don't know. Let's wait for the studies. I would say one week or two weeks maximum."
Without Sanchez, Mourinho decided to go with Anthony Martial for the Brighton clash but the Frenchman struggled to make much of an impact as United succumbed to a second-straight defeat against the Seagulls.
Next up, United are scheduled to face Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford and hopefully, they can return to winning ways with their strong home record against the north London outfit.
