Barcelona lining up late move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder
Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain before the Spanish transfer window closes on August 31.
Rabiot's future has generated much speculation with his contract expiring in 11 months' time and Barcelona are now planning to pounce on this uncertainty.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana are prepared to continue on their summer spree and they are prepared to offer as much as £45m to lure Rabiot to the Camp Nou.
Rabiot has previously been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur but neither of them can make an approach this summer with the English and Italian transfer windows having already crossed their respective deadlines.
The La Liga holders have been very active during the course of the ongoing transfer window and they have pursued the likes of Malcom, Arthur, Arturo Vidal and Clement Lenglet for a combined fee of over £110m.
Rabiot has been ever-present for Paris Saint-Germain since the start of the season and he was on the scoresheet during Les Parisiens' opening day triumph over Caen.
