Chelsea defender to stay and fight for starting place
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is willing to remain with the club and fight for his place in the starting eleven, according to the Telegraph.
The former Bolton Wanderers player has been left out of Chelsea's opening three Premier League games this, and has reportedly been given permission to talk to Turkish side Galatasaray.
It is thought that the player does not fancy a move to Turkey and prefers to fight for his place in the team if a better offer does not arise before the close of the transfer window in Europe at the end of the month.
There was certainly interest from English clubs during the transfer window in the Premier League but a move apparently failed to materialise.
Since his move to Chelsea in 2012, Cahill has won the FA Cup, Champions League, two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the League Cup.
Starting with the game against Bournemouth this weekend, it remains to be seen if Cahill will be able to win the battle to be in the starting eleven for Chelsea ahead of Antonio Rüdiger and David Luiz.
