Gerard Pique would be 'very happy' to see Manchester United star at Barcelona
Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has welcomed the opportunity to see Paul Pogba join them from Manchester United.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move to the Camp Nou this month but United have been adamant that the midfielder is not for sale.
In an interview with Sport, Pique admitted that he is unclear over the Frenchman's situation at Old Trafford but he would be 'very happy' to see him in the Blaugrana shirt.
"I don’t know about his relationship with Mourinho. We’ll see in the future, but we would be very happy to see Pogba in Barca’s shirt," he is quoted as saying by the Spanish outlet.
Pogba started the campaign in a bright fashion with a man of the match performance against Leicester City in the season opener but he could the replicate the showing at Brighton, where the entire team failed to show up.
He is still expected to maintain his position in midfield when Jose Mourinho's side entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford tonight. The Red Devils find themselves in a compulsion to win to avoid losing further ground to their title rivals at such an early stage of the season.
