Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has said that his side's win over Manchester United is massive.

Spurs defeated Jose Mourinho's side by three goals to nothing at Old Trafford to continue United's misery.

After a goalless first half, Kane gave Spurs the lead in the 50th minute before Lucas Moura added two to comprehensively smash United.

The win means that Mauricio Pochettino's men have won their first three Premier League games of the season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the striker said: "That's massive. To come here and win the way we did is a big statement. Three wins out of three, it's a fantastic start."

In the first half, Romelu Lukaku squandered a good opportunity to put United ahead after Danny Rose gave a poor back pass to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Had he scored, the game would most likely have ended very differently.

This win is Spurs' first at Old Trafford since a 2-1 victory in January, 2014.

Despite not signing any player, Pochettino's men were still able to put up the required performance to secure a win over a United side who once again demonstrated serious defensive weakness.
