Paris Saint-Germain react to Christian Eriksen transfer speculation
French giants Paris Saint-Germain have categorically denied that they are in the running to prise away Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur before the transfer deadline.
The Denmark international has recently been linked with a £100m switch to Parc des Princes after they failed in their attempts to lure Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona.
However, in a statement released by the Associated Press, the French champions 'categorically' dismissed the transfer rumours whilst mentioning about the reality of the current transfer market.
Eriksen had been linked with a potential move to Barcelona during the previous campaign but their interest cooled down after pursuing Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool instead.
Since then, there has been plenty of speculation linking him with a move away from Spurs but it now appears certain that he will remain at the club for the season at the least.
Eriksen provided an assist during the recent 3-0 mauling of Manchester United on Monday night. The victory sees them with the perfect tally of nine points after three games into the league campaign.
