Manchester United attacker 'furious' with Jose Mourinho after Spurs snub
Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial is reportedly furious with manager Jose Mourinho after he was axed from the matchday squad against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Frenchman was among the many underperformers during the shock 3-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion but only him and Eric Bailly were excluded for the Monday night showdown versus Spurs.
As a result, RMC Sport claims that the 22-year-old has found it hard to accept the manager's decision and this is likely to increase the ongoing tension between them.
Mourinho is said to have developed a shrewd relationship with Martial since the backend of the previous campaign and the attacker has not helped his situation after going AWOL from pre-season duty following the birth of his son.
Due to this, the Portuguese tactician is said to have offered Martial the permission to pursue a new challenge elsewhere but the hierarchy are said to have intervened to block the Frenchman's exit from Old Trafford.
