Jorginho's agent reveals why Manchester City move broke down

Jorginho's agent Joao Santos has revealed that his client's move to Manchester City broke down because there was no agreement between Napoli and Pep Guardiola's side.

He said that the player had agreed to join City, but it fell through because the clubs did not have a transfer agreement.

‘It was all done with Jorginho,’ he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, according to the Metro. ‘There was an agreement, but there was no agreement between the clubs. All parties have to agree, and one did not.'

He added that Chelsea capitalised on the situation when Maurizio Sarri arrived by snatching the player for themselves.

Santos further said that the Italian is having a good time at Chelsea with the club winning all their opening Premier League games this season.

Jorginho has played in all Chelsea's league games this season, scoring one goal.

He is currently on international duty and could feature when Italy face Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Friday.
