Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial has declined the prospect of extending his contract until his situation improves under Jose Mourinho.

The France international has witnessed his gametime vastly reduce since the January arrival of Alexis Sanchez and in the current campaign, he has made just one league appearance versus Brighton & Hove Albion.

As a result, the 22-year-old remains worried about the evident lack of playing time under Mourinho and The Sun reports that he has no desire of penning an extension until his situation improves.

Martial was initially tipped to leave the Red Devils during the summer transfer window and his representative confirmed the same in an interview with RMC Sport.

However, the Frenchman's exit was blocked by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward much to the frustration of Mourinho, who had wanted extra-funds for the summer.

Martial is presently in the final year of his contract with United but the club have the option to trigger a clause which would extend his stay by a further 12 months.
