John Barnes: Chelsea are overly reliant on Hazard
Former Liverpool star John Barnes believes that Chelsea are overly reliant on Eden Hazard at this moment of the season.
Hazard is currently on 'fire', having scored five Premier League goals and provided two assists this season. Three of his five goals so far came in the Blues' 4-1 win over Cardiff in the EPL over the weekend.
Speaking on beIN SPORTS (via football.london), he said: "I think they are overly reliant on Hazard. I think if Hazard gets injured, they really are overly reliant on him. If he drops form and he doesn’t score, he’s not an out and out scorer.”
Speaking of out and out scorers, Chelsea's main men in that position, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, have not been giving Maurizio Sarri the goals, scoring just once between each other this season.
Sarri had backed Morata at the start of the season, but with just a goal in four Premier League games this term, the Blues may consider going into the January transfer window to sign a striker that can guarantee at least twenty goals a season.
