Jurgen Klopp admits concern with Roberto Firmino after eye injury
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he is unsure regarding Roberto Firmino's participation in the Champions League opener after sustaining an eye injury during the recent league triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazil international received a poke in the eye from Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen on Saturday and this forced to be substituted early in the second half.
Since then, Firmino has missed the training session with the Reds on Monday morning and Klopp has now admitted that he is unsure whether the marksman will feature in tomorrow's game versus Paris Saint-Germain.
"If we played today, no chance, but we hope there's a chance for tomorrow..It's good news that it will be close for the game because we were all shocked from the pictures," he said.
Liverpool have been pitted in a rather tough Champions League group with Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade and they would want to start their campaign on a high note when they host Les Parisiens on Tuesday night.
