Pochettino backs decision not to buy players
Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has backed his decision not to sign any player during the last summer transfer window.
Tottenham were the only side in the history of the summer transfer window to fail to sign a single player. The transfer window started in 2003.
The former Southampton boss made this known after his side lost their third consecutive game against Italian side Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
"No I stick with the decision we made in the past," he said, Sky Sports reports. "Now it's easy to blame or regret different things, that is the easy way to avoid responsibility. I'm not going to avoid responsibility."
Tottenham will return to action away to Brighton and Hove Albion in the late Premier League game on Saturday and will be eager to return to winning ways.
The last game between these two sides ended in a 1-1 draw at the AMEX Stadium last April.
The game against Chris Hutton's men will come before Spurs' Carabao clash with Watford next Wednesday.
