Chelsea plan to offload Alvaro Morata
Chelsea are reportedly considering the winter sale of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata after failing to impress under new head coach Maurizio Sarri.
The 25-year-old started the season as the first choice in the centre-forward department but he has since dropped down the pecking order with Olivier Giroud starting the previous three league games.
According to The Sun, Sarri has been more concerned about Morata's inability to press defenders higher up the field than his struggles in finding the scoresheet this term.
As such, the Blues are prepared to listen to offers for the Spaniard at the turn of the year before considering whether to cut their losses on the former Real Madrid graduate.
Morata has netted just a solitary goal since the 2018/19 season started and during this period, he has been guilty of missing clear-cut chances which has been the trend since the backend of the previous campaign.
