Barcelona boss praises Tottenham striker Harry Kane
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has praised the form of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. The Spanish club are long-term admirers of the England captain and have been linked with a January transfer window move for Kane.
The Nou Camp side are reportedly on the lookout for a new striker to add to their squad and have identified Kane as a potential target.
Valverde told the press of moves for players: "We don’t know what will happen in the future. We respect players who are at other clubs so we don’t talk about them."
However when asked about Harry Kane ahead of Barca's Champions League tie with Spurs, Valverde quipped: "We know he’s a decisive player. We cannot compare last year and this year, what we know is his quality. We expect his best tomorrow and we must try to stop him.”
Kane has recently signed a new contract at White Hart Lane, but with talks of a potential 150 million euro transfer move coming in January, that amount of money could be difficult for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to turn down.
