Alex Iwobi speaks on Aaron Ramsey's contract situation
Arsenal attacker Alex Iwobi has spoken about the qualities of teammate Aaron Ramsey and remains hopeful that the Welshman will stay put at the club beyond next summer.
Ramsey has been in a contract standoff with the Gunners since the turn of the year and of late, there has been claims that he may not extend his contract beyond the current campaign.
Despite this, Iwobi remains optimistic that a solution could be found for the midfielder, who is presently the club's longest-serving player with 10 years of first-team experience.
"He's a great player. When I was breaking into the first team, I always used to watch and learn things for him," he told BT Sport. "I am still doing that today. It would be a great miss if he goes but hopefully he can stay. We all want him to stay. Hopefully it can get sorted."
Ramsey missed the midweek Europa League win over Qarabag due to a medical checkup for his pregnant wife but he is expected to return to the starting lineup when Arsenal face Fulham in the league on Sunday.
