Manchester City could feature Kevin de Bruyne against Liverpool
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hinted that Kevin de Bruyne could play a part in this weekend's Premier League showdown against Liverpool.
The Belgium international has not featured for the Citizens since the league opener against Arsenal and during this period, he has been recovering from a knee injury picked up in training.
It had initially been expected that the Belgian may not make an appearance until the cross-town derby against Manchester United next month but Guardiola has now dropped a suggestion that the midfielder could make a surprise entry versus the Reds.
"He made a part of the training session today, he is training with us. We will see tomorrow." he is quoted as saying by The Mirror when asked about the Belgian's involvement.
Meanwhile, Guardiola could not confirm the same regarding Ilkay Gundogan, who is expected to have a late fitness test to determine whether he could feature against Jurgen Klopp's side.
