Italian champions Juventus are reportedly planning to reunite Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez with his former clubmate Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 27-year-old is currently on a two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich from Los Blancos and the German side have the option of turning his deal into a permanent one next summer.

However, according to Bild, Bayern are yet to show any intention of doing so and he could potentially make a return to the Bernabeu as early as the winter transfer window.

Should this be the case, the Bianconeri are likely to make an approach to acquire Rodriguez's signature - less than a year from signing Ronaldo from the European champions in a club-record £98m transfer.

Aside from Ronaldo, Juventus currently have the likes of Paulo DybalaJuan CuadradoMario MandzukicDouglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi in the attack front.

Juventus are yet to suffer a defeat since the season started and they are currently holding a six-point gap over Napoli at the top of the Serie A standings.
