Liverpool defender wants La Liga return

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is reportedly keen on seeking a return to the Spanish La Liga after dropping down the pecking order at Anfield.

The Spain international has just eight months remaining on his existing deal with the club and so far, he has yet to show any interest in extending his stay.

Amidst this, he has been linked with a potential move to Arsenal in recent days but according Estadio Deportivo, a return to Spain remains Moreno's preferred option.

It is added that former club Sevilla are among the leading candidates to pursue his signature, though they could face competition from league rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Moreno has managed just one Premier League appearance this campaign with Andrew Robertson having established himself as the first-choice left-back under Jurgen Klopp.

Aside from Moreno, Joel Matip has also been linked with a potential exit from Anfield with Fulham among the candidates looking to prise him away at the turn of the year.
