AC Milan begin transfer talks with Chelsea over trio

Milan keen on Chelsea trio

AC Milan have reportedly opened negotiations with Chelsea over potential deals for Cesc Fabregas, Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen at the turn of the year.

Fabregas has racked nearly 200 appearances for Chelsea since joining them from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 but he has struggled this term with just 48 minutes of gametime in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Christensen and Cahill have likewise found themselves out-of-favour for the league duties with Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz ahead of them in the pecking order and the central defensive pair have also been linked with mid-season exits.

According to Radio Rossonera, Milan director Leonardo has made contact with the Blues' hierarchy over the trio ahead of the 2019 winter transfer window.

It is added that they are said to want Fabregas on an initial loan but they are also seriously considering moves for Cahill and Christensen when the transfer market reopens.

At present, both Fabregas and Cahill have only seven months remaining on their existing deals but Christensen has more than four years left on his after only extending his contract earlier in the year.
