Chelsea striker nearing winter transfer to Wolves
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is close to sealing a short-term loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, thereby ending his temporary stint with Championship side Aston Villa.
The England international joined the Villains on a season-long loan from the Blues earlier in the summer and he has since been a revelation with 16 goals in the Championship which sees him as the joint leading scorer.
Owing to this form, Wolves were keen on sealing a permanent move earlier this month but according to The Mail, the Blues are only expected to entertain a loan move, given Abraham is still considered as a top prospect for the future.
An announcement regarding the deal is likely in the forthcoming days once the Blues take up the option of terminating his temporary contract with the Villains, who should feel hard done by.
The west Midlands side are currently just five points behind the playoff positions but they may struggle to keep up in the promotion race with Abraham's departure this month.
